Anaplasmosis, a blood-borne bacterial disease primarily transmitted by ticks and needles, has been spreading in Kansas for years, causing severe red blood cell loss and death in adult cattle. A newer threat, Theileria orientalis, a protozoan parasite spread by the invasive Asian Longhorned tick, has no treatment and requires rigorous parasite control and blood transmission protocols to mitigate its impact.

Midway Coop Association in conjunction with Land O’Lakes donated a total of $4,000.00 to the Burr Oak Fire Department.
September 2024 Plot Tour
Midway Coop's September 2024 Plot Tour will take place on September 4th, featuring a tour of the new AI-driven Fertilizer Plant in Osborne and the Lebanon plot. The event will include presentations unveiling Midway's new mobile application, developed in collaboration with AgVend, aimed at enhancing patrons' access to their information and empowering producers. Attendees can enjoy lunch and dinner and receive an invitation to be early users of the app. The tour starts at 10:30 AM at the Former Solomon Rapids seed facility.

Midway recently made a $20,000 donation to the Kansas Wheat Commission Research Foundation.
Burr Oak Fire Department
We have been supporting our local fire departments every year and this year our donations were to the Mankato, Burr Oak, Lebanon, and Smith Center fire departments.
